Chaumet Lueurs d' Orage white gold ring
Jul 30, 2022
Chaumet launched the ring in its new fine jewelry collection "Les Ciels de Chaumet" in 2019, inspired by the vagaries of the sky under a storm, and the ring name "Lueurs d'Orage" means "storm" in French. The designers laid out magnificent colored gemstones in radial patterns that illustrate humanity's poetic imagination of the sky.
The ring's most notable feature is a 4.13 ct oval purple sapphire from Madagascar in a full, fused deep purple hue. The designer used this center stone to symbolize the sun obscured by heavy rain clouds, and cascading beams of light extend above, alternating sapphires, pink spinel, onyx, diamonds and mirror polished gold, reminiscent of the meteorological scenery at the beginning of the rainstorm.
The ring is a three-tier structure consisting of three rings made of gold and white gold – the white gold ring in the middle ring is made of rail-mounted diamonds; The shanks on both sides are set with yellow sapphires and round diamonds, with yellow sapphires in particular a bezel-set base made of gold, like the sun's afterglow at the edge of rain clouds.
