Brazilian designer Silvia Furmanovich has just unveiled a new season of jewelry creations, "Silk Road", with the theme of "Silk Road", the most special thing is that the jewelry incorporates Uzbekistan's traditional tapestry weaving process, exuding a strong exotic atmosphere.

The most special feature of the new work is that the miniature handmade tapestry is the main body of decoration, and precious metals and gemstones are the background - the designer invited the tapestry craftsmen to create miniature tapestries with representative elements such as vases, branches, and trees of life, each of which costs more than 1,000 strands of weaving thread, and the details are particularly delicate and moving.

The size of these tapestries is quite exquisite, used in the design of bracelets and earrings - the wide-brimmed bracelet uses the carpet as the background, with eye-catching garnet and white opal center stone, showing a rich and gorgeous atmosphere; The tapestry on the earrings is interwoven with more than 1,600 knots of thread, like a miniature craft.

"Ikat" is a long-established tie-dye technique in which strands of thread are tied-dye, disassembled, air-dried, and then knotted into fabrics with corresponding patterns. The designer interprets the unique fabric texture in two ways - the "hand-painted" works faithfully restore the texture of the thread and present delicate boundaries; The "Joinery Inlay" piece is made of sheets inlays, and the style is simple and charming.

"Suzani", meaning "needle" in Persian, is an embroidery process that originated from nomadic peoples, sewing and embroidering delicate patterns on a cotton or silk base. In the new work, you can see the vivid interpretation of the fine wood inlay process, presenting a chic carnation totem; Equally ingenious is a pair of garnet earrings stitched with red, yellow and green silk threads to create a chic floral pattern that highlights the craftsmanship of Suzani embroidery.
