Sotheby's Palm Beach hosts All-Female Jewellery auction: contemporary female designers

On April 10, Sotheby's will hold the "All-Female Jewellery" jewelry auction in Palm Beach, USA, bringing together British designer Alice Cicolini, Italian designer Carolina Bucci, American designer Nina Runsdorf and others Representative works of contemporary female jewelry designers, paying tribute to the thinking and creativity of female artists.
The most notable of the lots was London designer Alice Cicolini's "Jaipur Muzo Bougainvillea" earrings – six octagonal settings made of gold set with slices of hexagonal emeralds, cleverly combining the gemstone's natural crystalline and decorative arts elements. The emeralds, which weigh 55.56ct in total, are from the Muzo mine in Colombia.
American designer Nina Runsdorf's gold bracelet is inspired by the "horsebit", and the center of the chain is set with a 3.13 ct cushion-shaped yellow diamond in a Victorian setting, creating a strong contrast between ruggedness and refinement.
French designer Charlotte Chesnais' "Ribbon" ring emphasizes simplicity and purity, with a pink morgan stone dangling between your fingers.
Chinese designer Anabela Chan's "Citrus Neptuna" earrings are set with lab-synthetic gemstones and offer the same beautiful but price-lower choice of gemstones – recycled aluminium, yellow gold and rhodium-plated sterling silver to create brilliant floral shapes, embellished with orange citrine buds, as well as champagne-colored diamonds, apple-green tourmalines, yellow sapphires and more Laboratory synthetic gemstones in bright and colorful colors.

Citrus Neptuna gold earrings, by Anabela Chan
Crafted from yellow gold, recycled aluminium and rhodium-plated sterling silver, it is set with lab-grown orange citrine, champagne-colored diamonds, tourmaline, yellow sapphires and lemon quartz.
