Van Cleef & Arpels unveiled the new Lover's Bridge masterpiece "Le Pont des Amoureux Jour" in the 2019 Poetic Complications collection, continuing the romantic design inspiration and showing "Lovers Meet" through the intricacies of the newly designed design For a sweet moment, the enamel micro-painted dial depicts a gorgeous Parisian streetscape.
Born in 2010, "Lady Arpels Pont des Amoureux" has become Van Cleef & Arpels' most iconic watch piece with a creative concept - the hour hand and minute hand are cleverly designed as a pair of lovers waiting to meet, kissing passionately in the middle of the sky art bridge at noon and midnight every day.
The new work has ingenious improvements in the dial and movement, first of all, the moon rises higher on the dial, making the picture of two lovers kissing more prominent; A small blank space is added between the hour marker and the minute scale, and when the time comes to 12:00, the two lovers will stay at the ends of the blank space for a second, and then take a step forward to kiss together, this "poetic pause" is also the most complicated part of the new movement.

In order to allow the wearer to enjoy this wonderful complication, a new button is added at 7 o'clock on the side of the case, and when pressed, the two hands advance gracefully, and lovers closer to the center of the bridge will first arrive at the center of the bridge, waiting for each other to come slowly, pause for a moment, and then kiss forward. The driving force of the whole cleverness comes from the kinetic energy of the button, so no matter how many times it is repeated, it will not consume the power of the barrel and will not affect the accuracy of the walk.
The dial is painted with "Colored Grisaille Enamel" (Colored Grisaille Enamel) to create a romantic purple pink hue, and each dial takes more than ten firings and takes 30 to 40 hours to complete. The bridge of art suspended on the dial is made of white and rose gold, mirrored and frosted for a rich visual effect.
The 38mm case is equipped with an automatic winding movement with a 30-hour power reserve, and the movement has a built-in reverse jump module, independently developed by Van Cleef & Arpels. Flipping to the back of the watch, you can also see a chic gold sculpture pattern, showing a romantic scene of lovers embracing each other under the galaxy.
