Boucheron Nuage de Fleurs hydrangea necklace

Aug 28, 2022

Set with mother-of-pearl and round-cut diamonds, the base is made of white gold and can be split into short necklaces and brooches to wear separately.

Boucheron unveiled this Nuage de Fleurs necklace in the 2020 Signature fine jewelry collection, inspired by the Point d'Interrogation necklace in Boucheron's historical archives. The designer continues the classic "question mark" structure, so that the hydrangea branches naturally wrap around the neck, and the blooming flowers sway on the chest, showing full vitality.

Named after its distinctive "question mark" shapethe Point d'Interrogation necklace is one of Boucheron's most iconic designs. In 1879, the first sketch of the question mark necklace was born, created by the brand's founder Frédéric Boucheron himself, becoming the first necklace piece in history to not use a buckle – the semi-open structure conceals the articulated design, making it easy to twist and wear.

The Nuage de Fleurs necklace follows a classic asymmetrical structure in white gold to create meandering branches, connected by articulated structures that extend naturally along the contours of the wearer's neck. Delicate branch details are preserved on the branches, embellished with bright round diamonds, which are light and full of life.

More than 10 hydrangeas of different sizes can be seen on one side of the necklace, each petal is carved independently by the mother-of-pearl in a slightly curved three-dimensional shape, and the flower buds are embellished with diamonds, and the bright fire color is reflected in the warm luster of the mother-of-pearl. The detachable structure is particularly hidden under the hydrangea flowers, of which 5 can be "picked" as brooches, and the necklace in the shape of a question mark is transformed into a simple short chain, showing a wealth of wearing possibilities.
