Bulgari unveiled this "Happy Leaves" necklace in its new fine jewelry collection Wild Pop in 2018, inspired by the "Cannabis" plant leaves – the most emblematic element of the 1980s American hippie movement that reflected rebelliousness and non-compliance with social norms. Bulgari cleverly borrows this taboo of the era to retrace the fashion of the time, showing a bold and rebellious style of jewelry.
The necklace consists of a cluster of 11 involuted leaves, which naturally hang in front of the neck. The leaves are boldly palm-shaped, alternating with diamonds and emeralds to create a rich visual layer, and bright round-cut diamonds can be seen between the lanceolate leaves, like naturally condensed dewdrops, full of vitality.
The links of the necklace are designed with a simple oval silhouette, also embellished with emeralds and diamonds, which naturally echo the turquoise leaves.
