The French Gem Laboratory was established in 1929, with the full name Laboratoire Fran ç ais de Gemmologie.
It is the oldest gemstone laboratory in the world, managed by the Paris Chamber of Commerce from 1933 to 2011 and affiliated with the French Jewelry Union (BJOP). We have a cooperative relationship with Nantes University.

The Gemological Institute of America, founded in 1931, is located in Carlsbad, California, USA.
GIA proposed the 4C standard for diamonds, which cannot be bypassed when buying diamonds, and promoted this standard to the world. In terms of diamond identification, GIA is globally recognized as the most authoritative, as the standards are all introduced by others.
In addition to identifying diamonds, GIA also identifies gemstones.

The American Gemology Society Laboratory was established in 1934 and is located in Las Vegas, USA. Its full name is American Gemology Society Laboratories.
It is one of the world's most authoritative top appraisal institutions specializing in diamond cutting. Its founder was Robert M. Shipley, who completed a gemology course at the National Goldsmiths Association in Europe and then returned to Los Angeles to establish his own junior gemology course on September 16, 1930. In the next few years, he trained a number of new "certified" jeweler, who became the cornerstone of the formation of GIA and AGS.

AGL is one of the recognized authoritative institutions for the identification of colored gemstones, the first gemstone laboratory in the United States to launch opinions on the origin of gemstones, and the first institution to use quantitative methods to analyze various indicators of the quality of colored gemstones. Industry insiders highly recognize it as a color gemstone appraisal institution recognized by Sotheby's Auction.

The American Gem Trade Association Gemological Testing Center was established in 1998 and is located in New York, USA. Its full name is the American Gem Trade Association Gemological Testing Center.
AGTA is actually better known for organizing the annual natural colored gemstone and pearl jewelry design competition - the AGTA Spectrum Awards ™）。 With the continued economic downturn and high costs of operating facilities in New York, the association was unable to invest the necessary resources to maintain the operation of the laboratory. After 11 years of operation, the testing center closed on July 29, 2009.
