Victor Mayer Serenade engraved enamel craft jewelry

Sep 29, 2022

Set with sapphire, rubellite and diamonds, the setting is made of gold, white gold and rose gold.

This group of works from German jeweler Victor Mayer's "Serenade" leaflet series draws inspiration from nature and integrates 2 important jewelry craftsmanship - "Guilloche" and "Grand Feu" - to create a realistic flower and leaf shape. The hues and details of each flower and leaf are vivid and full of nature.

The "Serenade" collection is made of gold, white gold and rose gold, and the flowers and leaves are shaped into natural undulating forms. The jeweler first carved out the veins and flower patterns of the leaves using the "skeleton" process; Subsequently, the "big open fire enamel" process was used to depict colorful tones and show a transparent and bright visual effect - the three-dimensional jewelry shape and the instability of enamel firing undoubtedly increased the difficulty of the process.

The "Leaf" themed works are available in blue, dark green, brown-orange versions – the leaf body has a slightly curved silhouette, and through the translucent enamel, delicate leaf vein engravings can be seen; The petiole is designed to be a streamlined silhouette that naturally extends into bands, chain rings, and white gold settings with round diamonds of progressive size to complement the bright enamel tones.

The "Flower" themed work is paired with large-grained colored gemstones such as sapphires and rubellite as flower buds, and the petals are painted with natural markings in enamel. The most eye-catching is an "orchid" shaped ring with a double-layered structure of petals painted with dots and straight lines, one of which is laid out with a round diamond to create a rich visual layer.
